How a global family business transformed their brand to match their accelerated growth

Telamon

Helping a telecommunications and industrial solutions business tell their story

When Telamon came to Element Three, they were at an inflection point of growth, ready to clarify their position in the market. The company that started as a telecommunications infrastructure and engineering company had grown into something much bigger. Telamon matured as a telecom systems provider for both enterprise clients and carriers alike and expanded into wire harness solutions for automotive safety systems and household appliances. But their brand hadn’t quite kept up with who they’d become. They needed to tell a new story—one that could showcase their evolution while staying true to their roots as a family business.

THE CHALLENGE

Bridging growth and identity

Telamon was in an exciting phase of growth, expanding into new industries and business segments with a clear path to doubling in size within three years. To fully seize this opportunity, they recognized the need to:

  • Establish a unified Telamon story that reflected their evolving, multifaceted business
  • Ensure internal teams had a shared understanding of how different business units connected
  • Increase brand awareness in new markets to showcase their capabilities
  • Attract top talent in a competitive market

Telamon had built a solid reputation in telecommunications, and smart business moves had led them into new industries like automotive and appliance wire harnesses. But when you looked at their brand, you didn’t see the full picture of their scope and scale. This made it tough to win big contracts in their newer markets.

THE SOLUTION

Comprehensive brand transformation

Element Three worked with Telamon to rebuild their brand from the ground up. Here’s what we tackled:

Streamlining their brand structure

  • Brought all divisions under one clear Telamon brand
  • Created a smart way to handle their venture brands
  • Built a brand architecture that could grow with them

Crafting their story

  • Clarified their narrative in a way that connected all the business lines
  • Honored their history while looking forward
  • Developed a distinctive voice true to who they are
  • Helped their team define what they value most

Creating a fresh visual identity

  • Designed a modern logo that honored their past
  • Built a complete visual system that works everywhere
  • Shot photos and videos that capture their real work and vibrant culture
  • Created a full set of materials—including email templates, sales enablement presentations, social assets, and more

To ensure the rebranding gained traction throughout the organization, together with Telamon we developed and co-led strategic leadership presentations and company town halls, provided ongoing communication support, developed implementation playbooks, and equipped teams with brand management tools.

    Branded Assets

    A new digital presence

An updated brand without the right implementation is like shouting into a void. That’s where touch-points like a website, content, social assets, and email come into play.

With the launch of the new brand, we designed and developed a website that finally showed everything they do—and filled it with content that customers and prospects want and need. Telamon was also set up with templates and assets they could manage themselves to make it easy to stay consistent. Take a look at telamon.com.

It elevates, it’s modern, and it feels super authentic.

    WHY IT WORKED

    Making the transformation stick

Beyond a successful external rollout, internal alignment and commitment is paramount to the success of a new brand. A few key things made this transformation work for Telamon:

    • Respected their roots: We didn’t throw out their history—we built on it—and helped them reinforce their values with the broader team
    • Found internal champions: Key people in the company across their different business units and departments helped drive the change
    • Made it easy: Created tons of tools so teams could hit the ground running
    • Kept everyone informed: Regular, intentional updates to the company meant no surprises
    • Built for the long haul: Set up systems that would last

This project shows what can happen when a brand really reflects what a company has become. By tackling both how the world sees them and how they work together internally, we helped Telamon build something that honors their family business roots while setting them up for their next big chapter.
