5 Reasons We Come to Work Everyday at Element Three

Leadership

When your alarm yanks you from the depths of your slumber in the morning and you hit snooze for the third time, what is it that gets you out of bed and enthusiastically on your way to work in the morning? Even if you work from home you need to have a reason to get moving. Maybe it is the paycheck, without which you would have a whole host of other problems to deal with other than getting out of bed. Maybe it is the lunch menu in the cafeteria that day. Maybe it is the interesting banter you participate in around the water cooler.

Or perhaps your compelling reason to show us is more…compelling. I’ve found that in the marketing industry, that the typical reasons to go to work each day don’t quite capture what drives us to show up. Surrounded by creativity, innovation, and a shared hunger for success, you can’t help but show up to see what can be created in 8 hours.

At Element Three, there are 5 key reasons why we all show up each day.

1. The Fun

If you don’t have a reason to laugh out loud at least three times a day at work, then what is the point? There is scientific proof that laughter is good for you and we take that very seriously. Things do not always go as planned in the marketing industry and as much as we would like to say they always go right at Element Three, we too have our days. When we do, we all get together and find something to laugh about. Try it, you will feel better and I bet you will be re-invigorated to get back to tasks at hand.

2. The Technology

It is always more fun to work at optimal efficiency, no matter what your job. Providing your staff with the best technology to get the job done goes a long way with your productivity. Don’t get me wrong, things still break, slow down, go down or refuse to cooperate on a regular basis around here, but for the most part it is much more efficient to work with your big screens and fast internet speeds, not to mention the snacks in the kitchen.

3. Interesting Work

This is one of the top reasons why people stay at their jobs. On the contrary, lack of interesting work it is also one of the top reasons why people leave a company. How can work NOT be interesting when you are working with creative design, web development, SEO, brand strategy and so much more from a marketing consulting perspective? The opportunity to work across multiple clients mixes it up even more with the chance to work with varied teams of talent within the organization. Never a dull moment!

4. The Accomplishments

And recognition of those accomplishments makes you want to keep coming back. Providing a venue for our internal talent to collaborate and to showcase their work on a regular basis makes each accomplishment just a little more exciting. Working on projects with short-term as well as long-term objectives gives you the chance to experience progress at many intervals. Leaving the office at the end of the day feeling like you accomplished something (or things) of importance makes you want to come back for more, right?

5. The View

Not the just the awesome view of the entire city out the windows, but the internal views, the banter back and forth, the opportunity to hear other points of view both internally and from our clients. Taking time for contemplation while admiring the view encourages creativity, so if you visit our office and see us gazing blankly out the windows, please know that we are hard at work coming up with the next great idea.
